Guido Cinotti
Born in Siena in 1870, he moved while still young to Milan, where he studied at the Brera Academy and took part in every public exhibition . In 1894 he won the Mylius prize at the Brera Academy with a painting titled Rabbits.
After undergoing the influence of the work of Filippo Carcano, he began to use the Divisionist technique as displayed by Giovanni Segantini, also drawing inspiration from the still lifes and flowers of Art Nouveau. After the first world war his preferred style was impasto painting with colour applied in spatolato strokes.
He died in Milan in 1932.
