Headquarters and contacts
The museum’s main headquarter is Palazzo Viani Dugnani in Verbania Pallanza which hosts the Gipsoteca Troubetzkoy, the sculpture collection, the art gallery, and the temporary exhibitions.

NEW RULES TO VISIT THE MUSEUM
Anti-Covid safety regulations:
- Wait for your turn at the entrance
- During the visit it is raccomended to wear a mask, covering both your nose and your mouth
- Remember to sanitize your hands
- Keep one-meter distance from other people
- If you need to cough or sneeze use your elbow, not your hands
- Stay behind the Plexiglass when you’re close to the counter
- Remember not to pass/receive items directly to the staff (for example the change or the receipt) but place them on the counter
Other buildings:
Casa Elide Ceretti, in Intra in via Roma 42, is the museum’s new cultural center in Verbania and hosts a range of educational, artistic experimentation, meeting, and sharing events. The building is open for specific events. For further info consult the current exhibitions and calendar sections.

The Ornavasso building contains the Archaeology Collection in the town hall building in Piazza del Municipio 10, which can be visited on appointment (tel: 3479180892).
HOW TO GET TO VERBANIA
By car
From Milan: the A8 motorway towards Varese, then the A26 motorway following signs for Gravellona Toce, exit Baveno-Stresa or Verbania. Then state roads, following signs for Verbania.
From Turin: the A4 motorway towards Milan, then the A26 motorway, following signs for Gravellona Toce, exit Baveno-Stresa or Verbania. Then state roads, following signs for Verbania.
From Genoa: motorway A26 to Gravellona Toce, exit Verbania. Then state roads, following signs for Verbania.
By plane
Verbania’s closest airport is Milan Malpensa International Airport, exit Busto Arsizio on the A8 motorway (just over 70 km away).
From Milan Malpensa, you can get to Verbania:
with the Aeroporto Malpensa/Gallarate shuttle bus, continuing by train from Gallarate (Milan/Domodossola line) to Verbania Pallanza train station.
By train
The Milano-Geneva international rail line (national section Milano/Domodossola) passes through Verbania and Stresa. There are buses to Verbania from these. There is also a ferry service from Stresa to the Verbania Pallanza quay.

By car
From Milan: motorway A8 following signs for the lakes; motorway A26 towards Gravellona Toce, then the Sempione multi-lane road, exit Ornavasso.
From Turin: the A4 motorway towards Milan, then the A26 motorway, following signs for Gravellona Toce, then the Sempione multi-lane road, exit Ornavasso.
From Genoa: the A26 motorway to Gravellona Toce, then the Sempione multi-lane road, exit Ornavasso.
By plane

with the Aeroport Malpensa/Gallarate shuttle bus, continuing by train from Gallarate (Milano/Domodossola line) to Verbania Pallanza train station and then changing to the Novara/Domodossola line stopping at Ornavasso.
By train
The Milano-Geneva international rail line (national section Milano/Domodossola) passes through Verbania and Stresa. From there you can get a taxi to Ornavasso. Alternatively, take the Milano/Domodossola and change in Arona to the Novara/Domodossola line, getting off at Ornavasso, very close to the town hall.
